Kitchen

  1. Do not leave personal items around. Only keep your items on your shelf and in the frigde & freezer.
  2. Clean up any major food residue.
  3. Minimize your items in fridge/freezer and prefer organizing in boxes. Do not abandon things.
  4. Make sure that pots, bowls and other scarce items are available for other people.
  5. Follow the labels on the dish rack. Pots and pans are not stored on the rack, but instead on the wooden shelf.
  6. Don’t forget to turn off the stove when you’re done and don’t leave your food on the stove unattended.
  7. Collect any small trash in designated plastic bottles. Organic material in compost buckets.
  8. Close fridge and freezer doors carefully.
  9. Remove food residue from the sink.
  10. Clean the stove as needed.
  11. Keep your food shelf tidy.

Compost toilet

  1. Apply 1-2 handfuls of sawdust after use.
  2. If you only need to pee, just pee out in nature at least 5-10 meters away from any structure.

Facilities

  1. Avoid consuming or using water/liquids in the main house.
  2. Don't leave any of your belongings in communal spaces. Keep them in your room.
  3. Do not rearrange any items in communal areas.
  4. Be mindful of water usage. We are currently low on water supply. Avoid doing laundry using water from the tap. Instead use collected rainwater, or use the stream.
  5. Do not leave behind any trash or items inside the community. Collect any trash in your room and bring it to the garbage bins in Gualaquiza. We collect smaller pieces of trash into bottles
  6. If you are using a room upstairs, leave your shoes below the stairs, if barefoot, brush your feet off. Sweep the upstairs hallway and stairs once per week.

Noise, smoke and psychedelics

  1. Use headphones instead of speakrs. Live acoustic music is allowed. Electronic sound may be permitted on a case by case basis.
  2. No smoking, including tobacco, weed, rapé, palo santo, insence. Fire may be used for cooking and processing clay.
  3. No psychedelics including ayahuasca, san pedro, mushrooms and more. Stimulants such as coffee and cacao are allowed.
